The Bonecaster 90 set has been developed for Telecaster style guitars which have a P90 single coil in place of the standard neck pickup.
 
This set is made up of my classic inspired P90 and Boncaster bridge pickups, this set combines AlNiCo 3 magnets in the neck position, with AlNiCo 5 magnets in the bridge position. The A3 magnets appear in some of the earliest P90 and Telecaster magnets and are known for having a slight boost in the lower mids, a crisp top end, good definition and fantastic sustain. All this gives the pickup a soulful crunch with a vintage voicing overall.
The A5 magnets replaced A3 in telecasters after a short period, these are what we've come to know in many pickups. They give the bridge position a strong bottom end, with a bright top. They are also known for having a fairly pronounced mid scoop. This all adds up to them having quite a modern sounding voicing, although due to the power of A5 magnets they do suffer a little from lower levels of sustain.
 
This combination brings together the best of vintage and modern voicings, giving you an amazing array of tones on tap.
